The general sejm in Warsaw. Sejm sessions closed without decisions. 1652.

This sejm was convened on c. 1 November 1651. The pre-sejm sejmiks were held in December 1651 and January 1652. The sejm began proceedings on 26 January 1652. Andrzej Maksymilian Fredro was elected the marshal. Sejm was to debate inner, state matters and signing treaty with Cossacks in Bila Tserkva (Biała Cerkiew, on 28 September 1651) and also the issue of Hieronim Radziejowski, who was sentenced to infamy by sąd marszałkowski [a royal court, chaired by the Grand Marshal of the Crown od Grand Marshal of Lithuania; sąd marszałkowski adjudicated upon infringement of public policy and security in the vicinity of the king]. Sejm failed to vote prolongation of the proceedings, as it was vetoed on 9 March 1652 by Władysław Siciński, deputy of Upytė. After futile attempts and exhortation to reach agreement, marshal Fredro bid farewell to the king and on 11 March 1652 dissolved the sejm, which adopted no resolutions.
