In the Wake of Terminated Sejm Sessions in March 1652. Second Extraordinary Sejm in Warsaw, 1652.

The Sejm was convened as an extraordinary assembly in May 1652 on basis of an earlier in-house resolution. Sejmiks took place in June and July, Sejm sessions opening in Warsaw on July 23rd 1652. Aleksander Sielski, starost of Stężyca, was elected Speaker of the Deputies Chamber. Debates focused on defence, fiscal affairs, and the circumstances of exulants – nobles forced to abandon their estates for reasons of warfare in Ukraine. The Sejm did not condemn protest by Władysław Siciński, who had stood behind the termination of the previous Sejm in March 1652. Sejm sessions closed on August 17th 1652.
