General sejm, not extraordinary attendance Warsaw 1629.

The sejm was convened on 20 October 1628. The pre-sejm sejmiks took place on 12 December 1628. The only general sejmik that was actually held, took place on 30 December 1628 in Royal Prussia. The sejm debated from 9 January to 20 February 1629. Maciej Maniecki, chamberlain od Poznań, was elected the marshal. The proceedings took place with a huge absence of senators and deputies, in an atmosphere of reluctance towards the ongoing war in Prussia against the Swedes. Moreover, the sejm dealt with state matters in scope of monetary, military and tax policies.
